Try On Skullcandy Headphones in AR

I posted back in July about markerless head tracking augmented reality. Now a similar idea has been implemented for headset specialists Skullcandy.
By downloading a plugin users can virtually “try on” a pair of Skullcandy Aviator headphones using augmented reality (AR). The system tracks the user’s eyes, allowing them to see how they’d look in the gear from a variety of different angles – cool or fool?
The SkullCandy Virtual Room was developed in conjunction with digital agency Rain and Total Immersion. It may not exactly blow your mind, but this sort of virtual “try before you buy” is definitely a step in the right direction for internet shopping.
