Look-Up: iPhone Resistance Forces in AR

Fighting off invading hordes – be they aliens, zombies or pirates – seems a popular choice for augmented reality (AR) gaming. The latest entrant into the field is Look-Up.

Look-Up is an AR game (ARG) for the iPhone from Israel based Soulbit7. The game overlays invading aliens on the camera view of the real world, the player having to move around and shoot them down. There are nine levels of increasingly difficult alien invasion.

An interesting feature of the game is the inclusion of two modes: 360 and 180. Full 360 degree mode is designed for play standing up and the aliens attack from all sides. In 180 degree mode the attackers all come from the front, for play sitting down. There’s also a multi-player mode.

Look-Up is available to buy from the AppStore, initially at a launch price of $0.99.
