Vouchar Augmented Shopping

Are you a shopaholic? If so then you might be interested in a new Android app just launched in the UK.

vouchAR is a new augmented reality (AR) shopping app which describes itself as “The world’s first stand-alone Augmented Reality mobile voucher application”.

The app uses the GPS on your Android device to identify your location then checks out its database of discount vouchers. Those in the category you select are overlaid on the phone’s screen, giving information on the deal and its distance.

vouchAR is initially available for the UK and includes money off vouchers from websites such as 5pm.co.uk, toptable.co.uk, hotels.com, laterooms.com, livebookings and touchlocal. The makers are currently looking for partners in Europe and the US.
