The Virtual World Conference 2010 will take place on 15 September and will, appropriately, be hosted entirely in the virtual world of Second Life.
The conference will be a one day event examining the uses of virtual worlds for learning, collaborative work and business applications. And when they say “one day” they mean exactly that: the 24 hour conference will “follow the sun” with 21 speakers from around the world contributing according to their local time zone.
Anna Peachey (The Open University/Eygus Ltd) and Professor Sara de Freitas (Serious Games Institute /Lab Group) will chair in the European timezone. Andreas Schmeil (PARC/University of Lugano) will take the American Pacific Coast time zone and Claus Nehmzow (Alcus International Ltd/Hong Kong) the East Asian time zone.
Registration for the Virtual World Conference 2010 costs £45.
