Jeff Lowe of The Immersive Life has demonstrated version 2 of BrainBoard on ReactionGrid. BrainBoard is a “multi-user collaboration tool for virtual environments” that can be used for brainstorming, visual analysis, note taking etc.
The software allows users in the virtual world to add markers and notes to virtual whiteboards and connect them up to indicate relationships, flow, etc. The new version of BrainBoard (shown here) uses in-world particle effects to represent directional flow between nodes.
BrainBoard is available for both OpenSim and Second Life. Version two should be available to buy next week and V3 is in the pipeline for early next year.
